Wise Words Wednesday will have a different theme as the season begins. It will feature more post-game interviews of managers, players, and pundits speaking about their thoughts on the beautiful game. Today’s edition features Manchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini, who discusses their 3-0 victory over Premier League champions, Chelsea. The Chilean manager speaks on how they limited Chelsea’s opportunities to counter, whether Fernandinho should have been sent off or not, and the changes he made to regain control of the match. City, along with Liverpool, Manchester United, and Leicester City have maximum points out of their two matches, while Chelsea have come out the blocks out slowly with just one point out of a possible six.
