In a crucial rivalry match that could end up having implications in who receives the final Champions League spot, the Manchester United midfielder, Juan Mata shined brightly as he scored both goals for United’s 2-1 victory against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon. Earlier on in the season, the Spaniard was a mainstay for Louis van Gaal’s bench, making many people wonder whether his future lies elsewhere. Mata found some luck with Di Maria not being able to play the Tottenham match, and took advantage of that situation. On Sunday, he took over the show. His second goal will probably win goal of the season. Mata picked up a loose ball, played it square to the substitute Di Maria and continued his run. The Argentine picked a chip pass to the midfielder, and the rest is history after Mata contorted his body and executed a brilliant scissor kick to give United a 2-0 advantage.
