Olivier Giroud’s first half goal against West Ham in their 3-0 victory is the Play of the Week, with a terrific goal featuring the type of beautiful ball work and link play Arsenal fans dream about. In the run-up to the goal, Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud linked with each other, until Aaron Ramsey came into the fray. Making a darting run, the German midfielder picked him out, then Ramsey found Giroud who took a couple of touches to find space and blasted against the far post and into the net. With this win and Manchester City’s lost against Burnley, the Gunners are only a point behind second place in the Premier League table. And Giroud has been on fire himself, scoring in his fourth consecutive league match. He has 13 goals in all competitions, even with him missing a couple of months due to injury. The Frenchman has his detractors, but the striker has shown his quality when the service arrives to him.
